The woman behind the brand -

Katusha features hand-dyed textiles and uniquely versatile products, all produced by a fully woman-run business.

Founded in 2019, Katusha pushes the boundaries of combining athleisure wear and handcrafted fashion and accessories. All Katusha products are hand-made by Kat, the designer and founder of the company. The products are made from start to finish in her studio located in Douglas, a quaint beach town on the west coast of Michigan.

Though her design style is ever-changing, Kat strives to create products that withstand time and push the limits between active wear and high fashion.  Kat’s passions have been fashion-related since she was a little girl, with thanks to some extremely creative, talented and hard working women in her life. Her Great-Grandmother produced beautifully crafted fur coats for her own shop, and her Grandmother was a fashion illustrator for clothing magazines. Her Mother is an incredibly talented water color artist, who along with her father, has been her biggest fan and supporter since day one.

She solidified her career path in the fashion industry when she graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a degree in fashion design. It was in school that she fell in love with textile design, which led her to starting Katusha, where she could combine her love of producing beautiful goods and hand-dyeing textiles.
